Food Blog: Baikohken Ramen & KBox

Visited Hokkaido San again after five months. Took a photo with him the other time but sadly, he cant remember us. Oh well. I thought since the sun was baking hot, we decided to sit indoor and that the air-conditioning would help, it was however, useless. Once we started eating, the sweat kept pouring down and we had to wipe away and take out our watches. What a busy meal!

Had an order of the gyoza which was well-done! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside still. I think they have changed abit of their recipe as the garlic taste was not overwhelming as before! Sluuurp! Oh! You gotta use the white vinegar provided here and it tastes much much more fantabulous than those black ones. Seriously, it was total shiokness, godlike, with the vinegar google in your mouth!

Also, we had something different from the previous one. It was nonetheless, still yummylicious. The noodles is al dente, charsiew is tender and soft. The menma (bamboo shoots) are too generous in terms of size despite its crunchiness, which makes it quite hard and tiring to bite. The broth for the Shio Ramen was nice and light, not too salty and greasy.

Shio Ramen

As for myself, I had Shoyu Corn and Butter Ramen. It was my first time eating here and I like it! The soya sauce with butter, though sinful, tastes well. It's neither greasy nor salty. I finished the entire bowl of noodles plus soup base with many many cups of their ocha. Their ocha is different, if you know what I mean and it's addictive and refillable with one whole jar waiting for you there on the table.

Shoyu Corn and Butter Ramen

Dinner was indeed heavenly and toothsome! Oh! By the way, we din half-sized our ramen. So I've concluded, we are very big-eaters with quite a bottomless tummy =/

Next on, we went to meet Xue'e (She asked us to settle our dinner first). The poor girl was sick and insisted on going to sing. It was a three person gathering and ended up, there's only two live souls in the room and she had to leave early.

And I had a movie and dinner date with my dearest neighbour. We've been hearing the hype bout Dark Knight and wanted to catch it. I think it was me who wanted to catch it more because she's afraid of the horrible-and-scary-looking Joker. hahah. Yet, on the other hand, I was quite skeptical bout the show because I heard lousy comments. Regardless of everything and anything, we went ahead with our guts and hearts and we both find it awesome.

I love the Batmobile and the bike with machine guns most. I simply love these machines towards the end of how it overturned the long truck with mesmerising weaving around the lamp posts and kaboom and capsized like a turtle with upturned belly. Thoroughly senses provoking and thrilled!

The storyline is much more complicated and interesting. We've a Joker villain who appears for the purpose of destructing the order of the human modern civilization and by doing this, he believes the uglyness of human nature shall be reveal. And he enjoys revealing it. His high intellegents and creativity allows him to challenge Batman with all sorts of traps, "games". This finally bring forth a few climax moments and twists in the movie. The excitement persist alone the plot. Heath Ledger's Joker was superb, simply outstanding. Even though, I half-closed my eyes when he threatened to cut the hostages' mouth =/

Go watch it - Action movie containing philosophical messages. You'll not regret it!

We wanted to have dinner at Shokudo but it was crazily packed at that hour after the movie. We werent willing to queue and so we decided to head elsewhere and coincide to have it some other time. We strolled to Suntec and had Chinese cuisine at Imperial Treasure Restaurant

I prefer Crystal Jade's

Salad Prawns which is deadly. aaah~

Crab meat with egg white fried rice - Fragrant and not oily

HK kai lan - They have huge and thick stems!

Had a sumptuous and lavish meal. I like the prawns best! It literally gives you the shiokness feeling! But the portion was quite pathetic and it's expensive! I realised Chinese restaurants dun like to serve rice first. They like to finish serving all the dishes then the rice. Also, we noticed that the restaurants we've been to, dun like to slice the kai lans' stems thinner. They just placed everything on the plate and expect us to bite! It's so unglam, especially for girls. What if people who's wearing dentures? Will it drop?

Then, while it was still early, she suggested to head to the Flyer because she has not been there yet. I led the way while we walk over as it was within walking distance. Furthermore, it's good to have a stroll after dinner! hahah. But what we had was really sinful. Nonetheless, it was goooodlike! Perfect for hot weathers =P

Mango & Passion Sherbert + Chocolate Truffle

Try the sherbert, it's superlative with edible seeds! And they have many many flavours, interestingly, the Redbull one!

Yay, it rocks like every other day. heh

Peektures: Fish & Co @ Fountain of Wealth

Mermaid Freeze (Mango + Carrot)

The friend koped the sticks before I can take it

Mussels. Garlic & Lemon

The bread sticks are to dip into the garlic and lemon sauce. It's powderful godlike. Love it. And the chill powder the friend asked for indeed add some spices and flavours to the fries. All in all, the dinner was good and no dissonaces suffered. heh

Afterthat, wanted to take a stroll at The Esplanade but the place is like mostly fenced up and crowded. Despite finding seats near the floating stage, we left without warming our seats due to being too much of being a second hand smoker and headed elsewhere..
