Viva Espania!!

Spain ended their 44-year wait for international glory as they defeated Germany 1-0 in the final of Euro 2008 at Ernst Happel stadium in Vienna.

I truly believed the best team in EURO 2008 was Spain. They looked like poetry in motion whenever they stormed towards the Germany goal. It was beautiful attacking football at its finest and Germany didnt have an answer for it. Just that the Spainards din make the best out of the chances they created. But they played well and did not lose a single game in the tournament and they deserved the title.

Hats off to David Villa, but in the end, Torres stepped up to the plate and delivered for Spain and showed he is a sensational player. He's brillant and his goal was well-deserved.

Though, I'm a lil' bewildered on why he actually sucked his thumb after scoring the goal. hahah

Thanks for the night btw =D

Confirm, guarentee plus chop chop..

I bet he's not going to wear the red jersey next season, which means, he's going to leave Manu and means to say he's putting on the white jersey and heading to Spain to grab this golden opportunity and fulfill his so-called dreams. tsk

By the way, quite awhile since I blog. hahah. Will update soon. Kinda busy this week =P

Hehhhhhhhh heeeeeeeeeh.

I was within kissing distance of the fabled Barclays Premier League trophy this afternoon. The trophy, now on a South-east Asian tour, was on display at Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza in Orchard Road, from 10am to 4pm.

To have a photograph taken with the trophy, I had to pay but it was all for a good cause. American International Group Inc in Singapore (AIG) is organising this football-themed fund-raising event for the earthquake victims in Sichuan province in China. All proceeds will go directly to the Sichuan Earthquake victims through AIG and Singapore Red Cross Society.

Thus, you just got to donate either 5 or 40 blings for a photograph to be taken. And of course, for the 40 blings donations, it's a photo with trophy with AIG movie card and a chance to win a trip to watch them play LIVE at Old Trafford. Club merchandise and jerseys will also be raffled off at the event too.

I was very excited and happy to know bout this event. Thanks Twinie and her sister for informing me. hehe. She told me she could sense my happiness all the way from Redhill =D

Shall let the photos share my joy. heh

Some of my favourite players who 'came'

759th Appearance for Manu

42 goals this season

hah. My favourite photo

Photographs are printed out free, for us, by Canon Selphy. I din manage to get my individual one because it was misplaced/ lost/ skipped/ passed/ during the printing process. So the staffs compensated me with one Manchester United Cup with signatures printed on it. It was an out-dated cup though. Shall make do with it first before they find my photo (not much hope I know)

Thanks for accompanying me too =D

Domestic clubs season has ended offically. Two weeks ago, we were crowned the Kings of England again. Back to back title

This morning, we emerged champion. Really had to thanks the woodwork for guarding the goalmouth for us. The effort for keeping the ball out, rescuing us twice. Lady luck was pretty on our side. Nevertheless, everything is worth it as we are the Kings of Europe

What's next? Global champions? heh
Gloooooory~

Peektures: Over the Weekends

Because I wanted to get something, I asked Miss Lee to accompany me. In return, she asked me to bring her to eat ramen. I suggested Noodle House Ken as it was more convenient for me to get my stuffs

We reached there bout 1340 hours as I thought they will close at 1400 hours. Little did I know that, it was only on weekdays. I think I'm blind or something when I searched for it online. lol. Furthermore, the stewed boiled egg was sold out. So we settled for Shoyu Ramen and Gyoza

It was the first time I tried on their Shoyu Ramen as I would go for the Stewed Boiled Egg Ramen usually. It was yummylicious despite the disappointment of the charsu. They were tough, not tender enough and diffcult to bite. The soup broth was superior (Double boiled for 8 hours and no MSG added) and the noodles was tasty! It was al dente! Very springy and bouncy! But they look like those yellow noodles found in hawkers =/

Shoyu Ramen

The gyoza tasted mediocre even though appearance wise, it was nicely done. It was neither crispy nor juicy but I still like it as it doesnt have much garlic. hahah. I think I need to speak to Ken (the chef), his standard kinda dropping. tsktsk

After filling our tummies, we walked to Paragon to check out on the Crumpler before heading to Far East to find Miss Lam who was looking in pain when the hairdresser was shampoo-ing her hair. hahaa. Crapped with her for awhile before heading to our next destination. My ulterior motive for today's outing. heh

Deli

Signature Durian Puffs

Woaaaah! The durian!

This one has two eyes and looks like a mutated dog durian puff =/

My parents love it, especially my dad. I think he's addicted to it cos I think he's the culprit to finish almost everything. tsktsk. Din he told me not to eat so much heaty stuffs and now he's swallowing the entire box. And goodness, before he went to sleep he told he want to drive me there to get more next week. tsktsk

Anyway, Goodwood Park Hotel is having a Durian Fiesta now till end of July. Click here for more info

And by the way, I re-visted Miss Lam because I wanted to pass her the puffs. She din manage to eat it but I got a shock lah. She was so brave! She chopped off her hair. But the end result was pretty good. heh

Manu raped WHU 4-1 at Old Trafford. Two goals from Ronaldo, a goal each from Tevez and Carrick moved them closer to retaining the title. Tevez goal was a blast. It rocketed into the top of the net from 30 yards. At the end of the match, Fergie thanks the fans and the players paid tribute to the fans by doing the lap of honours (walking around the field). The atmosphere was great. How I wish I was theeeeeeeeeeeere in person

Somehow. Someday. Nevertheless, one more week, seven more days =)

Har Gaos from Vietnam

My muuuder asked me to try it. Okay lah, it was edible but to me it was kinda bad. lol. Besides complaining that the skin was sooooooo thick and dry and the best of all is, I couldnt taste prawns! Even the best of the best was, there's carrot in the fillings. I almost wanted to pull my hair. But since it was her effort to buy and steam it for me, I had two of it out of the many many before heading out! LOL

And I felt very accomplished for giving tuition today. I'm quite happy with myself and the kids. heheheh. You guys should be lidat every week and then I will be very pleased loh

hahah. Like very free hor. I think my first paper is next week. daaaaaaaaang. Big big exclaimation mark

Lastly, I think I shall go sleep now laaaaaah. I need to cook for the boy later in the afternoon, means waking up early. I know this is disbelieving but PLEASE trust me can =D

Half time now. Manu is leading Barcelona by a goal to nil. The match is so much exciting compared to last week. Before the game, I had jitters in my stomach but after a few nervous moments, Manu play quite well and I watch with ease though with a few scares. Ahh~

This was an opening goal from Scholes; which he lashed a powerful shot from 25 yards and magnificently belted the ball beyond the goalkeeper. It was a glorious strike which put them into the finals at Moscow on 21st May. heh

Tasting victory =D

There's still like ten minutes more before this highly anticipated match is going to end. It's supposedly to be an exciting match but I find it quite boring and my twinie ignoreeeeeeeeeeeed me when I feel like raaaaaanting =(

She's like the only person who's still awake at this unearthly hour lah, mugging. I shouldnt blame her. I shall continue watching and pulling my hair and sigh

Mr Ronaldo missed the penalty and the match ended with a nil-nil draw. Should be a precious away goal if he scored. The ball just spurned out against the pole lah. Oh well, hopefully the Devils will attack more and pass better with no losing of possession so cheaply next week at OT!

Stamford Bridge next!
Ayyyyyyyyyy! Sleepy already. Good night Earth!

United robbed Arsenal's lead and shattered their dreams of contesting for the title. Ronaldo's nerve-whacking penalty pulled them back. Owen Hargreaves's freekick was a beauty, something like Beckham's curler. It has been awhile seeing something so similar

With Arsenal dropping out of the race, it's only Chelsea to be left booted out. Hopefully, they will drop points while my team soar. heh

Random.

At Yishun MRT's platform

My evening was splendid. heh. After giving tuition, headed home. Before dinner, I had the vodka watermelon to cool myself down from the heat that the crazy weather was giving me. It was shiokness. Besides having the sweetness and juiciness of the watermelon, there's also a vodka factor. I think it depends on the watermelon itself; it has to be sweet. Otherwise, the taste could be quite terrible. hahah. And different types of vodka vary too. heh

I think I shall continue experimenting with it, secretly though. lol. Because, my maid and mother gave extreme sights on the taste of the vodka melons. Thereafter, I heated myself up again by having steamboat. Sluuuuuurp! Filling to the max. heh (And to whom it may concern, your efforts are well-appreciated =D)

Watermelon soaked in Vodka

Then, it was soccer, two big matches. It was Man Utd crushing Liverpool 3-0 first and the Reds looked like they could never get back into the game. Then, the win coupled Arsenal's loss at Stamford Bridge thrusted the Devils back to the top. Five points clear with seven games to end the season

Liverpool's Javier Mascherano is sent off for dissent as his team trail 1-0

He finally scored against Liverpool

That's how a champion plays. heh

Peektures: Clementi Central

After dinner at Botak Jones the other day, I decided to do a 007 check and explore. This building is the latest victim for revampment in Clementi after the interchange and Empress building - Known for the cheapest cinema in town, the KFC and the cool and cheap arcade were being teared down

This place was like the landmark of Clementi Central especially the MacDonalds where it's like such a prominent and ideal meeting point for people. Whenever we say let's meet at Clementi, MacDonalds always came into our heads. So where do people have to meet from now? It's totally pitch dark and abandoned

It makes me wonder if I ever leave Singapore for a good few years, would I still be able to recognise this tiny city when I return? hmm. It's really scary especially when everything seems to be fast-forwarded and changing

Sidetrack:
And watching Kuszczak sent off with fourteen mintues remaining and Ferd failing to save the penalty were hair pulling. They bowed out of the FA Cup! No more treble!

6-0 win over Newcastle

Ronaldo bagged a hatrick. He's on a roaring-scoring form. Breaking his own tallies is just a matter of time. heh
