Food Blog: NYNY I've always seen throngs of people queuing up there on weekends and dinners and wondered what the fuss was all about when I've heard negative feedbacks on this American Restaurant.
So this afternoon, I headed to one of its outlet at Lot 1 to meet the friends. The restaurant looks so funky and eye-catching because of its dazzling name and alluring interior decorations. The green and cozy furnitures are the signature of NYNY.

Once you settled down, a NY Time Post (menu) would be handed over to you. The design of it was pretty well done, very much of a newspaper; comprehensive. There were plentiful of dishes to choose from ranging from American Hamburgers to Spaghetti and other Western favourites. However, I was pretty skeptical of the food because of bad press (words of mouth). I really took my time in choosing the most recommended food as I dun wan to end up all grouchy after the meal. A bad meal is equalivent to a sulky me. hahah

After taken a bite, I heaved a sign of relief. Luckily, I wasnt having high expectations of the food served because they were generally alright; nothing fantastic and nothing that bad either. But definitely not worth queuing and waiting for it during the peak hours as there are nicer food elsewhere out there.

Dutch Mussels with 2 flavours - Cheese and Tomato

As claimed the premium quality Fish 'n' Chips

Cheesy Chicken

Beef something. The potato was good I think the place was all bout decoration and little substance though I cant deny the fact that it's a cool place to hold gathering, lazing around with friends. So do people queue for the food or for the place? =P
Btw, Lot 1 has transformed tremendously as compared to the times when I was still in the white-black uniform, mugging hard in a school with its motto 'While I live, I
learn slack. The mall is so much more happening now.
Sidenote: The weather these days are crazy which makes me wanna be a hermit! Going out means sweating like a pig =( Meanwhile, everyone drinks more water and take care!

Food Blog: E Blackboard & Wan ZhaiE Blackboard is the newest name added, that is bringing restaurant-styled western food to the HDB heartlands. Foodies have already heard of the likes of Astons and Botak Jones who are dishing out great western food at alarming rates!
Anyway, I went to try after seeing it on television the other night. This branch in Blk 431, Clementi Ave 3 is called e.BlackBoard II. The original stall is at the other part of the island in Bedok.
I had an order of their Signature Chicken Chop which comes with coleslaw, tuscan fries and chicken with the skin slightly charred. The chicken was actually quite good, juicy and well-marinated. With the flavoursome pepprish gravy over it, it was wonderful. I enjoyed eating the chicken becaues it was very chicken-ty and tender. The fries was also very addictive but I like Botak's version. And the portion of E Blackboard's is definitely not as overwhelming as Botak's.
I have forgotten to take photos because of a famished tummy. Till the next time then, because I'm going back for more of their specialties; for instances the steak, cajun chicken, beef patty, fish n chips etc which are yummylicious and with reasonable tags.
Before this, I went to the Tangs Bazzar Sale at NUS. It was pretty interesting. Wanted to take a look at the the sneakers as I read somewhere it's pretty cheap but din have the ones I fancy. Mac was having like a huge sale because the normal shelf price items were high. The friend din manage to get hers because they had limited stocks. In the end, both of us bought alot of food from the food stalls. tsssssk
Next on, I went to CCK to get my stuffs and had dinner there. This time round, I remembered to take photos but average food there =P hmm. Just wondering, why do they need to put a scoop of ice-cream over the milk tea?

The spoon ads -_-

That's the difference between the dry and soup wanton noodles. And why in the world is the dry one slightly expensive than the soup ones. Took a walk at the Pasam Malam and saw this - Old school game. The photos though blurred and not focused showed the orders of how you fix the gun before firing. heh

- End I think I spent the money in my wallet all on food today. And this upcoming event,
World Food Fair at Suntec might make me fat fat and wallet thin thin. lol. So do you think they have the food samplings as well? heh

Met up with the girls (Gera, Sock and Jeanne) for dinner and some yakking session. lol. We had a budget dinner at foodcourt which I gladly welcomed. hahah. Knowing Gera and Sock since my schooling days that they have a 'problem' of eating, I've tried to eat as slowly as possible but still finished before the two of them. Please save them. And it was a pretty fun session with us yakking away from the start till the end and it's great seeing them again
Shall continue during Gera's birthday. lol

So what did you guys do on the first day of the GST hike??? hmmm..
We were already the pitiful victims very early in the morning due to our whole day of craziness. heh. However, we vented our frustrations by taking a horrendous 400+ photos in the zoo and spent our entire day there by amusing ourselves. lol. Fun to the max =) And thanks WoRmY for the complimentary tickets. heh

Our secret tunnel The secret tunnel was crap and it led us to a flight of stairs which we couldnt climb up. Nevertheless, we were able to find another stairs behind the trees. It looked desserted and dirty and ant-ified up there. Big big ants somemore. They look like they're going to suck our blood anytime. booboo. No photos due to my highly inefficient twinie -_-

I caught up with it. heh

Lunch

The farm was chock smelly, especially the ponies and we stayed away from them. We met the sheep who
mehhhhhhh along with us when we
mehh-ed. Then, while we were caught off guard, one of the sheep
mehh-ed in a low and deep voice which scared the hell outta us. The natural reaction for us was to ahhhhhhhhh and jumped back! LOL. The pigs were lazing around and playing with the pebbles while the black ones made themselves look so loving by squeezing together and sleep. Their skins were like bulldogs'.

Lastly, we saw a pile of cow dung which Glen was very hyped up bout it. lol. She kept asking me to take a photo of it. Due to the air pollution, the four of us hurried off and left the three of them behind. While waiting..

The 3 shorties. lol

What did you get?

Twinie: This is the tallest you can get. Pouts* Proceed to the nursery and we decided to do JUMPing stunts. I believed we spent a good half an hour jumping up and down and still couldnt get our desired shots. That excludes adjusting the camera, testing the timer and stuff. It was very hard since we had to rely on the timer and had to keep guessing when to jump. By the end of the day, we had multiple shots of that scenes and I wouldnt be surprised if we grow one centimetre taller. LOL

Even higher

Some warming up: AduuuuuuuuuuGen

We LOL and I fell =/

Tall people cant jump

We thought this is funny

With our powers combine, twinie jumped!

A good example to the kids. ahahah

Busy jumping and were left to watch the cleaning (the zoo's closing)

Fallen

Homeeee

We ZOO-ed!

Dinner Maxiii to town. I was so damn crisp tired after the whole day yet the back row people could talk continuously throughout the whole journey in the family cab and managed to do some shopping too before dining. My idols. I was lying dead on the couch in Espirit till I spotted Pornsak (The newbie TV compre) and therefore trying to act like a paparazzi. hahah. All these pretty much summed up the whole of today. heh
Anyway, welcome back Lynette =)
