Photoblog: Chapter 4.2 of New Zealand Cashmere Hills for the fine view of Christchurch, which is also known as 'the most English city outside England'. On top of this hill has many expensive houses which is near the Pacific Ocean. Din spend much time there as it was drizzling and very cold, everyone headed back to the coach quite fast. Had a ride on the coach to explore the place before heading for dinner.

Our new driver. Look at his mostache. Real one leh

Cloudy, so couldnt see Mt. Cook

We had Thai food with bits of fusion for dinner. Apparently, the food was authentic and good. I love the tom yam soup and the green curry. Yummylicious! It was really comfortable to have something warm but I think the portion of the food was abit too little for us. haha.

A small pathetic bowl of tom yam soup

Minced meat

Omelette

Green curry

Salmon

Dunno what fish

Mushrooms!

Desserts (Last piece) Went back hotel after dinner. Not much things to do as most of the shops have closed. Our hotel is near residential areas and quite cosy though it seems like some hostel for backpackers or lok cock hotel. heh.

After unpacking our stuffs, we went out to have Subway as we were quite hungry. Furthermore, the tourguide told us it's more tastier here than in Sg. So must try! Kfc was also round the corner but it's further than Subway and it was still drizzling, so we decided to head for Subway! Healithier choice!

End of Day 5It tasted the same to me, nothing special. hahah. Had an early night and was awaiting for the next day's fun and excitement. Really hopeful I can fly on a helicopter! hehehe
p/s: Apologise for the blurry photos here. Shaky hands and insufficient lightings. heh

Photoblog: Chapter 4.1 of New Zealand Back to Cathedral Square - The city centre of Christchurch, New Zealand. As the name suggests, it is directly in front of the city's Anglican cathedral, ChristChurch. It is magnificant but I dunno really know how to appreciate structures. So I was constantly taking silly pictures by jumping up and down and the happenings around. hahah

ChristChurch Cathedral

Photographer cut off the top of the church -_-

[From Wiki] This square is the city's main meeting place for people taking a break from their work, or just visiting the city, and is a regular site of street performers and speakers of all varieties. Until recent years, the most well-known of these was
The Wizard of New Zealand.
It was happening that day. There's pasam malams kinda thing, streets performances, graduates around etc. And I was very lucky to spot The Wizard of New Zealand there because if you wiki or click onto the link above, he seldom frequent for public speaking already! hehehe. I din know he's so famous till I wiki. lol
No wonder, my lecturer (Nageb) says, if you dunno anything, just wiki.
tsktsk. They have everything and anything!

The seagull will always be there when someone takes a shot.

Look at his face! Full of sh*t!

After exploring the ground level, my sister and I turned explorer plus warrior! We decided to conquer the HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR flight of stairs up to the top of the Cathedral. To climb the stairs and sweat ourselves out, we need to pay NZ$1/2 for some donations -_-

Entrance to the church

We opened the huge and chunky door, leading us to this stone, concrete spiral stairs. It was round and round and round throughout the climbing till a steep ladder will bring us to the top! No photos during the process as I was focusing 100percent on the stairs. So scared I would trip and fall. It was only at the top with three balconies (not very spacious, at most 5 persons) that allow us to look at the surroundings.

Last flight of stairs. OMG steep!

A kid when we were going down. He's very good at climbing up and down the stairs. Not afraid of anything. I guess when you grow older, you will tend to think alot and have a burden with you. heh. He's very friendly too. Played along with us and allowed us to take photos with him. heh
Our next destination was Canterbury Museum, Botanic Garden and The Arts Centre of Christchurch. These were not listed in our itinerary. I think they brought us there because it was free? No entrance charge. hahah

Walked past Christ's College Canterbury

Canterbury Museum

I went into the museum, walked rounds, up and down. Din take any photos inside as I was kinda bored and lazy. So I went out to rest on the benches outside the museum. Apparently, the streets kinda quiet, occasionally with few cars driving past, people walking by. The pace was slow. I just sat down there and stare blankly, looking at the insects flying on the flowers at times. Then, I started to take pictures of them.
Afterwhich, I decided to make a phone call back home before proceeding to The Arts Centre of Christchurch. heh. As saying earlier, that day was their convocation. So most of them were in their regalias and I started to imagine myself in that. hahah. But when the day comes, I wasnt really that excited, I find myself quite fashionable in that attire - Ron in Potter's robe! (if you saw my convo's photos) hahah
