Before the movie, I obviously didnt have a clue what the show was about, except that it was a long ago Chinese epic. I got filled in by my the friend who watched with me. She just gave me a very summarised idea on what's this movie.
After 2.5 hours, my verdict: Overall, not bad, a little draggy but respectable. Very interesting and enlightening. Loved the 八卦阵 and 周瑜. However, this isnt the kind of show that sticks you to your seat, completely enthralled. Instead, it's also peppered with lame jokes to lighten the heavy and somber mood of the whole movie. But the movie ends really really abruptly! It's like where's the 重点! -_-
Nevertheless, the second part will be shown end of the year =)
