As usual, spent the Mid-Autumn Festival at Jurong Canal which is just a ten minutes walk from my place. Brought a mountain tortoise along as he had never encounter this kinda of happenings before. Like the previous years, lots of families and friends gathered around this stretch of canal to have some fun together

My family and family's friends also assembled on this ground, armed with whole loads of food -
Beehoon, curry, nuggets, sausages, drinks, chips, mooncakes, desserts, jellies etc (A never-ending session of food when aunties gathered =/) What's worth mentioning was the hip mooncakes Mdm Wong and her friends made. There were the lychee, yellow bean, carrot, kiwi and iforgetwhat. hahah. They tasted like
agar agar but not really
agar agar. I called them the hip mooncakes which are healthy and fruity. haha. The kiwi and lychee ones were shiokness

Yellow = Yellow bean, Red = Lychee

And Mdm Wong, my mama, I dunno how in the world she got her resources. She brought with her lanterns, lanterns and more lanterns especially those with the irritating old school music. Lucas boy was carrying one prominent one so that when he's nearby, everyone will know. hahah. Damn wasted
lah, I've forgotten to take a photo with those Ultramen, Doramons, Hello Kitty lanterns. Nonetheless, I had this retro paper lantern which burns easily. lol

Lots of kids, teenagers, young adults and adults were playing with sparklers, regardless the very normal ones or the noisy ones. They kept swinging, swinging and swinging

And threw them into the canal

While others including me were trying hard to make a mini bon-fires in the midst of the strong wind

With the more than enough candles that Mdm Wong suppliedThis is the place where the fireworks was supposed to be shot, relatively Chinese Garden. We stood there and wait for quite long but to no avail. But when we started to make our way back, the fireworks started and we decided to run back. By the time we reached there, it was well-over. However, we managed to appreciate the fireworks when we were running

Pano from canal to Sports hall to cofeeshop to roadMid-Autumn festival is more like a pyro festival where beings were pyromaniac.
tstksk We've to save our mother Earth if not there will be big hole in the center like this..

So much so, it was really a cool night where families and friends gathered for fun peace and laughter. And I hope the cleaners wont be cursing and swearing at us for making the place so unbearable. You guys should have taken a look at the canal and the leftovers candles wax lying around.
tsktskTo be continued next year where the auntie gang decided to go early to snatch a good spot to decorate the place -_-"
