Food Blog: Aston Express/ Specialities Hit West! As we were walking towards a coffee shop at JE Central one night, we walked past another coffee shop (S11) and the friend spotted a banner which wrote 'Opening Soon' - Aston. She was so hyped up and we managed to try the food a few days later

While looking through
Aston Menu, I was greeted with a wide list of items, from their appetiser of salad to the mains like the steak, poultry, spaghetti. Quite a variety, I would say, kinda spoilt for choices. In addition, two side dishes of our choice were given for the set we've ordered

Anyway, we had Charchill Chicken -
Recommended. By just looking at the dish when the waitress served it to us, it doesnt look quite appetising (Disappointment started to set in) Upon the first bite, the chicken was okay, not so fantastically at all that makes you wanna ask for more. The vegetables was a tad too salty as well. On the contrary, I like the mashed potatoes. Even though the potatoes were nicely-flattenly mashed up, I could still taste bits of potatoes circulating my teeth. However, it's getting too dry at the end due to the insufficient sauce =/

Charchill Chicken

Next up was the Grand Sampler (Nothing grand
lah, just four sausages lying on the plate but may be very grand to my friend, Xue'e) Nevertheless, it's great as a side because they are yummylicious

Left to Right: Chicken-Pork-Chicken-Pork

I like the third one -
Chicken and Cheese. It's really juicy and savoury. The melted cheese just spurted out when you slice the sausage. What I dun really like was the last one. It was kinda spicy with lots of meshed up
idunnowhatsinsidestuffs herbs. All in all, I think it worthwhile to try the sausages for at least once. Furthermore, they are air-flown from Germany
The staffs are very amicable too. They answered politely to our queries and explained patiently to us on what we were having. The best of all was they even posed for me to take a photo of them and their shop without me asking. hahah. They very friendly and automatic
hoooor
Now that
Aston hit the West (Jurong, there's another one in NUS), it's worth a try since they used to be found only in the East and Central with reasonable pricing. And I think their speciality is still the steak afterall. Shall try it some other time
The next happening after
Botak Jones in the West. heh
Meanwhile, I shall go hug my bed and dream of some exam questions which I will be encountering. Hope my dreams give me some tips. heh heh. Night world
